Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Wow it's weird watching the Premiership at this time of the day!

    Anyway, Boro are crap and we play lovely football at home so there really should only be one winner. However this is City so stick a tenner on Boro to take the three points.

    City -

    Man City

    * 37 Given
    * 02 Richards
    * 04 Onuoha
    * 33 Kompany
    * 25 Bridge
    * 05 Zabaleta
    * 34 De Jong
    * 07 Ireland
    * 08 Wright-Phillips
    * 39 Bellamy
    * 10 Robinho

    Substitutes

    * 01 Hart,
    * 11 Elano,
    * 12 Vassell,
    * 15 Garrido,
    * 19 Fernandes,
    * 20 Caicedo,
    * 24 Evans

    Money down on City -1.

    Easy win for City imo.!

    Well we shoulda hammered Patheticboro last weekend and I'd expect to tear them apart. They are really hopeless at the minute. Nice to get the day off with a few goals. City need to improve in midfield imo but we'll see, you'd expect better individual performances to the last time they started at 12.45

    I hate both clubs, but I hate 'borough less so I'm going for them. But I can only see one winner, and that's City. "£100,000 Team" they're putting out according to BBC. Let's hope Boro pull a rabbit out of the hat though.

    Is it just me or did it look like the City team were tiny compared to Middlesbrough? :p

    Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    We're tiny in comparison to every team. That's why we were beaten by Stoke.

    Agreed, if City get an early goal I could see this being 3 or 4 nil

    After a good tackle by Pogatetz

    Mmm. Looks like Boro are trying to quiet City a tad. Not going to do that by giving the ball away. They're not going to get close to the box by the way they're playing now.

    My God what a save

    Feck Andy Gray and his "He hit it straight at him" BS, that was an amazing save by Given.

  • Moderators, Regional East Moderators Posts: 23,233 Mod ✭✭✭✭GLaDOS

    Absolutely top class from Given

    Good save by Jones there too.

    Some great 'keeping today.

    Feel a goal is only a matter of time here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,589 ✭✭✭✭Necronomicon

    Goalkeepers must hate Andy Gray. 'It was straight at him' seems to get wheeled out every game.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,188 ✭✭✭bennyx_o

    Another great save by Given

    EDIT: Ireland off the bar!

    EDIT again: How did Bellamy miss that!?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

    Off the bar, ooo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

    Off the fookin bar. Great header from Superman

    Stephen Ireland is incredible. If he keeps improving he will be a top European player.

    Shay is just amazing whatever happens. David Platt on Given: ''The best keeper in the Premiership'' Sooooooo true.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,999 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

    City have been unlucky not score so far, its hard to beat a deep defense like that.

    And wow Shay Given, haven't read the thread since the game started, but Xavi you must be happy to have him now, Joe Hart does not hold a candle to that man.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

    Indeed I am delighted to have a keeper like Given between the posts. No disrepect to young Joe but Shay will win us games for the rest of the season.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,999 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

    And Stephen Ireland, firstly playing well as is the norm these days, but jeebus you'd expect to see someone with a haircut and beard like that living in a caravan.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,246 ✭✭✭Mgoraf

    1-0 Bellamy. Nice goal.

    Bellemy, 1-0. Nice goal, should liven things up
