GJP - European Short-Handed Poker Championships - €150,000 Gtd!

Green Joker Poker are proud to announce the inaugural European Short-Handed Poker Championships - 4th-7th June 2009 at The BallsBridge Inn, Dublin.

The Main Event is €1000+€100 with a Guaranteed €150,000 prizepool. It will be dealer dealt 6 handed tournament with 20,000 starting chips and a 1hr clock. The structure will be the same as the €500 event at last years deepstack.

ALL TABLES INCLUDING CASH GAMES WILL BE 6MAX!

The capacity for the main event is 300 players and online satellites will be starting soon across the full Ipoker network and also on Winamax.

Thurs 4th June 8pm - Super Sat €100+€10 1 rebuy or top up
Fri 5th June 2pm - €1000+€100 NLH - 3 day Event €150,000 Gtd!
Sat 6th June 4pm - €500+€50 PLO 2 day Event
Sat 6th June 7pm - €500+€50 NLH 2 Day Event
Sun 7th June 4pm - €300+€30 NLH 1 Day Event

JP is running the event again for us so it will be a brilliantly run weekend as usual.

this is a great idea which i mentioned to a few tourney organisers before, but the problem seemed to be the extra cost of dealers / less players per M2
which is understandable. How are ye managing this with the normal 10%?

Every tournament including the online satellites and live super satellite will be 6 players maximum per table. Even the cash games at the event will be 6 players max.

Online Satellites

You can qualify for FREE on Green Joker Poker. The Satellite schedule is as follows:


Main event & Hotel satellites

There will be grand final satellites with packages worth $2500 on Tuesday nights at 19:05 from April 28th - May 19th. They will cost $100+$9 to enter. Each package consists of main event entry worth 1100 and hotel for 3 nights worth 300. The balance will be paid as cash into your account for expenses.

The Grand Finals take place on the following Tuesdays at 19:05:

April 28th
May 5th
May 12th
May 19th

There will be ongoing Sit'n'Go satellites to the Grand Final. $24+$2 5 players with 1 seat and $11 for second place. $12+$1 10 players with $11 for second place.

There will be a daily $30+$3 freezeout satellite at 15:50 which will award one seat for every $109 in the prize pool. These satellites will have feeder satellites at 13:05 ($5+$0.50 turbo R/A) and 21:40 ($2+$0.20 R/A). There will also be ongoing $3+$0.30 Sit'n'Go satellites.


Seat Only Satellites
Grand Final Satellites for entry to the main event worth €1100 take place on the following Wednesdays at 8pm, they are all $50+$5 rebuys:

1st April
15th April
22nd April
6th May
13th May
20th May
27th May

Every day there is a $5+$0.50c feeder to the next GF at 8.30pm.

Every day there are 4 Freerolls to the $5 feeders at 10am, 12pm, 2pm & 4pm. These have 50c rebuys and addons. There are two $5+$0.50 tickets Gtd in each.

Event Structures

All the events will have the same blind levels. The length of the clock will be the only difference for each event. Starting stacks for all events except the satellite will be 20,000. Satellite starting stack will be 3000 with rebuys of 4000 and top ups of 5000. The Omaha will follow the same structure without antes and with level 5 omitted.

The clocks will be 1hr for the main event, 45 mins for the €500+€50 events, 30 mins for the €300+€30 event and 25 mins for the satellite.

The Blind levels will be:

The European Shorthanded Poker Championship Main Event is going to be covered by SKY Poker and shown on their Inside Poker Show. There will be a film crew in attendance on the Sunday with presenter's Tony "Tikay" Kendall and Dave Compton.

There is one last Ipoker Network Satellite at 20:05 on Friday 22nd. $100+$9 Freezeout. These have generated at least two tickets per satellite.
