Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Canon 400D Battery Question: Is this normal?

Hi, lately when my 400D is low on battery the camera hangs (freezes). When you power it off the green power light stays illuminated even though the camera is off. The only way to get it to unfreeze is to remove the battery completely and re-insert it.
The camera will then work again for ages, as sometimes there's still 2/3 bars of battey life displayed on the screen but then it will hang again.
Is this common or is there a fault with my camera/battery?

    Thanks,

    Mick.

PS... Be thankful its not another Water Drop thread! Although I've taken tons lately so might post a few in a day or 2 if there's no objections?

It's happened to twice. Once during a normal day's shooting and this week when I was out in the cold. I took out the battery the first time and left it alone the second time. It worked fine after both occassions.
