Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    I get a 404 not found there!

You gotta go in to the What's New section to get it working.

And tbh, I know someone involved in this group who went to the Antartic a month ahead of the rest of the group, and his MK II worked fine, he got 600 photos a charge. :)

I doubt it was the rain tbh. It's more likely moisture that gets into the sealings, gets hit by -40 c winds, and expands.

Not that that'll be happening here any time this weekend. Monday might be another story.

ThOnda - Water occupies less space than ice ;) (hence floating icebergs - density is 9/10ths lower - 9/10ths of icebergs are hidden under water)

It's 3:30 am here and I'm off to bed (to go watch some live ice hockey tomorrow - ice is on the brain...)

I bet there were some mighty pissed of people on that trip.

Made me laugh at how his carry on was 30LB, I bet RyanAir would have a field day with excess charges!! ;)

The other thing that made e chuckle was the comment back Canon saying the loan camera must have had water in it from a previous session. I didn't realise that the water would still be in the camera for that length of period!! Maybe t is a new marketing ploy!! :D

Who said anything about rubber ;)

The 5D II isn't fully weather sealed!

Neither is 5D and I was quite scared after half day in the rain. So far so good. And I don't have a battery pack, just spare batteries.
