    Hi, can anybody give me an idea of how much it should cost to get my fan belt replaced? Thanks

    Why did you ask about how much would a fan belt replacement cost?

    €20 for the belt, probably free fitting, all you need is a 13mm spanner.

    not in bradshaws i used to have a 99 focus and was in between the figure i quoted, everythin is much dearer in a dealers

    I stand to be corrected but the fan belt on most petrol focus's is a stretchy belt (no tensioner). Bit more difficult to fit and thats why it "may" cost a bit more to fit/supply but im no parts catalogue :rolleyes:

    cant remember the older one but the newer model(05) has no tensioner, ya just take the bolts out of the altenator, put the belt around it and then put the bolts back

    I do stand corrected, it does have a tensioner!

    So yeah its an easy fit and the belt should cost no more than €20!
