Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Should be an exciting derby with both clubs out to prove a point. Pivotal game for both clubs with Arsenal fighting for 4th spot and Keano making 2nd Debut for Spurs. prediction spurs to nick it 2-1 with robbie scoring the winner

lets not forget the Russian Andrey Arshavin, who could well make his debut. it's a wonder he never went to chelsea all the same.

    Arshavin on the bench.

Arsenal with a particularly dynamc midfield today consisting of Nasri, Denilson, Song and Eboue :(

    Come on Arsenal.

Just noticed that Djourou is back on the bench too. ffs.

laugh = happy he scored for spurs
cry = sad he's not scoring for l'pool

    is that correct podge?

Spurs need points to keep their heads above water. Arsenal need points to keep up with the pack. Should be an exciting game.

    Arsenal to knick it, barely.

    2-1 Arsenal for me
    Ade and RVP

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,999 ✭✭✭✭eagle eye

I was just thinking about this game.
Tottenham win and Keane scores, the Rafa fans rave about great timing of the sale.
Arsenal win and Keane doesn't score and the Rafa fans remind you that his is no good.

So really the only outcome that does not suit them is Keane to score and Arsenal to win.

Personally I have a feeling that today is the day of the underdog with both Arsenal and United gettting turned over.

Great to see Eduardo on the bench along with Arshavin! Hopefully they'll both come on to contribute late goals in a 7-8 classic:pac:

Not a great midfield but Ade usually turns up for these games and RvP is on fire at the moment.

If my team sold a player and he started coming good for the team i sold them to, i wouldn't be raving about it. It be a slight bit pissed off we sold him in the first place.

I was really sure we wouldn't be seeing Arshavin in this game, but with that midfield I can certainly see Eboue coming off. Although it will probably be for Bendtner in that new wide right berth Arsene likes him in.

Why when he wasnt good enough to play for your team in the first place?

He didn't fit in, better than a lot of the players in that side. I'm just saying that rafa supporters won't be raving if he scores

I'm a Rafa supporter and couldn't give a toss if he scores today, he's not a Liverpool player anymore

I'm not an Arsenal fan but its great to see him coming back, would be nice if he made an appearance.

Mod Warning: this thread is for the discussion of Spurs vs Arsenal, one of the great derbies in English football. There is an individual thread for discussion of all things Robbie Keane transfer related here, and a thread to discuss issues specifically related to Liverpool here. I'm hoping for an open and exciting game, and no need to waste time deleting posts or banning posters for off topic stuff in this thread. Thanks and enjoy the game.

    I'll say 3-1 Spurs.

Modric, Keane and Pavlyuchenko for Spurs and Nasri for l'Arse

Cant really comment on 3 minutes tbh. One Misskick.

Good interplay from RVP and Eboue there. He should have hit it earlier when he had a little more space. Was Eboue though, so ya know...

Good start , both teams seem up for it , has the making of a good open game.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,283 ✭✭✭Smegball

Good game so far, can see a few goals anyways, I'll go for RVP to score 2 and Keane to score for Spurs.
