SDXC card format- 2TBs of storage.

    Just reading there about the unveiling of this new card format- SDXC.
    It'll allow 2 terabytes of data on a card eventually apparently.
    Wow.

    SD is an evil standard anyway. full of DRM

    they should update MMC, take out the DRM crap. Since nobody is using it anyway i find it suspicious that they're continuing to make the cards with drm built in

    That's just the max amount of storage it is limited to. This would be like talking about 2GB SD cards when the sd format was first released. I'd say it will be a while before we see a 2TB card and they'll probably have announced a new format with petabytes of storage before that happens.

    Yeah of course.
    UP TO 2gb storage.
    Anyway they'll be starting with 64 and 128gb some time in the near future apparently.
