worried about grants??

i am a bit worried regarding the situation of the grants in this current economic climate... what does everyone else think?

I have always had my fees paid for with the grant and this is very important to me as next year i am planning on doing a masters which will be about 5 grand.

Grants and Fee's are 2 completely separate things.

The Fee's are currently payed for you by the Government.

Grants are means tested and are supplied byt the county councils and VEC's.

The only thing you can do is wait and see what happens.

i meant the 1000 euro fees that everyone has to pay , after the govt has paid our "free fees"...... i have always had that 1000 euro paid for with my grant

next year i will be doing a postgraduate, where you dont get the free fees, instead i would have to pay 5000.

i am wondering if my grant will cover these fees

The grant isn't just for undergrads. If your circumstances haven't changed and the scheme hasn't changed, yes you can get a grant going from UG to PG. This'll mean your fees will be paid for too.
