It's as solid as any.

Not only is RBS now 70% owned by the UK government, the Irish Deposit Protection Scheme applies to deposits in Ulster Bank which covers you for 100% of deposits up to max €100,000

its a sad state of affairs when investors and savers are being screwed and we have to resort to trying to find the best of a bad lot
