Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,
Does anyone know who or where this manufacturer is from? Can't find any details about them on the web  I need to replace the instruction manual for a home theatre system that I bought from Dunnes Stores last Christmas. It's only a cheap system but I'm still baffled as to why they don't exist on the web anywhere
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

More then likely its branded as Olaf & Ludwig but it manufactured by someone else... Best of luck trying to find an ops manual for it.

Agree that it's probably rebadged from bulk manufacturer - I can't find a trace in my usual searching places. If you can post a picture, someone might recognise a similar model, tell us what you're trying to sort out someine might be able to make an educated guess.

Thanks for your replies, guys. I finally found the instruction manual after pulling the house apart last night. Still no wiser as to what I needed to find out. There's no manufacturer contact details on it, so I guess they just didn't want to be contactable!

It's only a cheap system for the bedroom, so I'm not really that worried about it. I wanted to do two things: see if I could upgrade the firmware so I could not only play xvid but also divx files and also find out which button to press on the remote to play all TV sound through the system.

As for firmware upgrade, all the manual mentions is:
"burn the firmware MTK.BIN onto a cd with the name MEDIATEK"
However, it doesn't mention where to get the firmware from!!!

As for the ability to play all TV sound through the system instead of the TV speakers, perhaps it just doesn't have that ability. Although you'd imagine since it's called a Home Theatre System, that it would!

I'll try take a pic tonight and post it up here. I think you've hit the nail on the head about it being rebranded. Considering the system still makes noise while on standby, I'm guessing it's not a top quality manufacturer... but for €40 for a 5.1 system and built-in dvd player, I can't really be too fussy, now can I :p
