Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nobody think that the midfield runner should have been tracked for the goal. Kelly had to come across when it should have been a midfielder picking him up.

No denying that Kelly should have done better, but I would giving the midfield a lashing for it as well.

Need a massive improvement in the second half. Not enough urgency so far.

Whatever about the performance in the first half, booing the team off is disgraceful. Shocking from the 'fans'.
Yes but noting unusual , England Scotland and Wales fans boo their teams off a lot to.

Except we've Keane. Don't think Rafa's judgment can be questioned on that one.

We really need some creativity (Stephen Ireland) in centre midfield, we don't care if you're bald or have ridiculous taste in vehicles, come back!

McGeady isnt exactley the most defence minded midfielder.

You know (or have seen someone) when you play football with friends of friends and everyone is way better than you expected and you suddenly find your the worst one there and dont really know what to do?

    That is Stephen Kelly.

Whelan has been useless. Get him off.

Lippi must be sitting up there chuckling to himself at this shambles.

Ireland are playing much better in 3 mins so far the 2nd half (and I'm not just saying that because I received a warning for hurling vulgar abuse at them in the first half).

I love Aidan McGeady and will not die until I get his autograph on my person so that I can have it tatoo'd over.

I wasn't talking about the player who scored being tracked. I'm talking about the center midfield runner who ran right by our center mids into the box.

Big let off - disappointed with Givens reaction to it, he should have been moving across as soon as possible, if he had been i reckon he would have saved the ball regardless of the offside. Seemed to just wave it goodbye for me.

    Good call, well spotted offside.

We've been creating plenty of pressure - just need to execute better in and around their box.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

See it's games like this where someone like Rory Delap would be useful to have on the bench.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

I'd take Keane off bring Hunt on and shift Duff up front.

I fear it's going to be one of those nights, with the opposition playing a flat back ten, and Ireland not being able to buy a goal :(
