couldn't access boards while abroad?

    Lads, i was in China for a few weeks and got the message "you do not have permission to access on this server" (or something like that)

    What gives?

    Access from Chinese IPs was restricted some time back as a large number of registration bots and spam crawlers are located there, it was causing significant problems at the time; unfortunately the only option was to ban China.

    Hmm, I see. There's a decent chance I'll be moving over there for a while in summer, is it possible to allow a 1-off IP address to have access? I had the sweats cos I couldn't get my boards fix!

    Do you know your Chinese IP address?
    If not, you can always drop us an e-mail when you get back over there.
