Heading to Dublin next Friday, been loads of times as im only up the road in Newry. However rather than jump into random pubs id like to know the best places to go to. Most of the drinking will be done during the day btw, if that means anything. Anywhere with a good atmosphere and possibly cheap enough pints would be brilliant :D

Im in the City Centre btw. Thanks for any advice lads.

If I was on a mid-day jaunt through Dublin I'd be likely to go to the following:
    • The Dawson Lounge - Dublin's smallest pub (it is on the St Stephen's Green end on Dawson Street if you can find it ;))
    • McDaid's or Bruxelles (both on Harry Street off Grafton Street)
    • Kehoe's (South Anne Street off Grafton Street)
    • The Duke (Duke Street off Grafton Street)
    • The Porterhouse (Nassau Street)
    • The Palace Bar (corner of Fleet Street & Westmoreland Street)
    • Mulligan's (Poolbeg Street)

If you do the above in the order listed it will take you in logical order from St Stephen's Green towards Bus Aras or Connolly Station (if you are using public transport to get home). Sláinte!

Edit: Forgot to mention that there are fcuk all cheap pints in Dublin.

I'd go with the above and add in Neary's on Chatham St (on the opposite side of Grafton st to Kehoes)

Pints are basically the same price everywhere, give or take a few cent.
