The are really good, the wood on the fore grip looks nice as the receiver that is made of steel like other parts. But some parts are made of pot metal.
The pot metal parts could be a problem. One part is a catch that keeps the unfolded stock in position. It broke when the gun fell on the side. the same could happen to the charging handle, also made of pot metal. the only thing you can do to fix it is to buy these part made of steel from ebairsoft, also known as ebaybanned. ( 1. Stock lock button made of steel 2. AK Cooking lever Steel) A bonus is the side mount rail.

Upgrades:

3) A reshim job and removal of excessive grease

A nice gun with a lot of potential. the flaws are fixable for a few bucks.

The full steel version is also available with no pot metal components which solves all those issues. Apparently there's a couple of variations on their idea of a metal AK; an aluminium/magnesium model, a pot metal/steel/aluminium assortment and a full steel. The full steel one does still have an aluminium outer barrel, though everything else, right down to the sight posts, are steel. A fact I confirmed with a magnet test, and further confirmed with a full strip of it's (impressively tough) powder coat paint and a good silver plating. The plating took to the parts very smoothly, testament to the good quality stamping used on the reciever.
I'll probably never fire it, it's still hanging on the wall in the shop, but I took it for a spin before doing the new finish work and it performed rather well, hitting 308 average with an rof in the 15-16 range with the stock 8.4v.

I'll just correct ye on that, that is the aks74u model you are thinking of, rk01s, not rk03 as mentioned in OP, an aks74.

There has meant to be full steel full size models coming out for ages now, but no sign of them. Cyma are doing VFC clones now too, but as with kalash/dboys, they are a pot metal mix.


Who ever does an ak74 or akm in full steel first will win the market.
