A few days ago we lost all water coming from the hot taps in the apartment, no the water is back but the pressure is very low and when left run for a minute it starts spluttering and the water slowly stops flowing.

    any ideas?

This happens in our house when the water goes off. If you get a piece of plastic tubing (we use pipe insulation with insulating tape wrapped around it) long enough to reach between the two taps on your bath. Put one end on each of the taps and hold them on as tight as possible. You then have to turn the taps on full. I think it clears the air-lock from the system. Works for us every time but can take a few goes to get the hang of it. hth.

Yep, you got an airlock. Do the above and it should sort it for you.:D
