Can anyone tell me if Oscars Bistro in Galway is still as good as it used to be?

Dined there a few times, the last being 2 years ago and will be in Galway in a few weeks so wondering if its still as good?

If not, any other good restaurants you can recommend in the city?

    Thanks,

    Tox

Hi Oscars is still there and is still good. Ate there just before Christmas and it was excellent. Around the corner on Dominick St is Abalone and it's very good. Very small and intimate and the food is good but go hungry as protions are generous. They offer lots of little extras like sorbet etc. which they bring between courses as part of the experience. If you don't mind travelling out of the City Centre head to O'Grady's on Barna Pier or the White Gables in Moycullen. Both worth the trip. Happy dining :)

Oscars is still great and one of the best restaurants in Galway imo. Pity they don't do fillet steak (only sirloin but it's excellent). The service is still second to none.
