Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Once a child has been confirmed then it's ok for them to be a Godparent.

If the parents truly want her to be a religious guardian to their child in the event of their death, they would be better off getting someone older and confident in their faith. Opinions change a lot in the teenage years.

If it's a just a nice gesture with no responsibility intended, then go for it!

Absolutely agree with you with regards to the responibility of being guardian of faith but let's face it, it is usually (and sadly) just a gesture...

From my personal experience I would suggest to the parents that they choose someone fully mature and someone they know that is reliable to be a godparent.

If Mary was around that age when she supposedly became the Mother of God I don't see why there should be any problem for a 13 year old to become a Godmother :).
