Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Closable Wall Vent/Grille

    Hi

I know the reasons for having air vents etc. BUT really need to replace some of the normal vents we have to closable ones. The wind is literally coming through to our rooms and seriously annoying as well as cold. Our babies room is ridiculous. And closeable for the reasons that we can open and close when room not in use. Don't want to revert to blocking vent altogether.

Anyone out there know where we can get closable wall vents/grille, preferrably round 4"?

    thanks

Your local builders merchants or B&Q should have them. They are common enough, despite them considered by some as a health risk.

It might be better to fit a wind shield to the outside of the vent, a sheet of metal or plastic about twice the size of the vent mounted on small pillars so it covers the vent but is set out by about 3cm or so.

This would stop the direct wind but allow ventillation.
