    Hi

I was wracking my brains trying to think of the nicest places to go in the south east for nice scenery or just natural beauty and was wondering if people have any suggestions... not looking for anything outside of about 20-30 miles from waterford.. the ones i could think of were:

    - The copper coast
    - The Comeragh's
    - Kilkenny Castle
    - Hook Lighthouse
    - Kennedy Park (Not sure if that's all that nice but I know its down there)
    - Anywhere in Ring

I'm sure there are so many more I can't think of so please inspire me

    The Minaun (sp??)

There's also an area just before Passage East (coming from Woodstown direction) which is up high and has a great view down of the Suir Estuary.

The climb out of Dungarvan towards Youghal has a great view of the bay

    Inistioge

Kennedy Park is a fantastic spot, it has a fantastic outer perimeter walk which I recommend. I go there regularly. The place is well kept and is a huge tourist attraction.

St Mullins is another place worth visiting which is about 10 mins outside New Ross.
You can even go kayaking if you feel up to it

Also take a spin on the Waterford Suir valley Heritage Train

I've heard the summer evening specials are really good on nice days.

Yep! Go up to Kilcash from the main Clonmel Kilkenny road (N76 I think) and follow the signposts...

    For scenery
    -ardmore
    -dunmore

    For a nice coastal town
-dungarvan. Nice to have lunch in moorings on the harbour.

For castle and nice small town
    - lismore.

The coastal drive between dungarvan and tramore is gorgeous(think thats the copper coast!)

Copper Coast is a lovely drive.

I think Tramore beach/promenade and Newtown Cove are lovely places when the weathers good. Or Doneraile Walk.

Spend a morning in Dunmore. Walking in the woods down to the harbour, ice cream and coffee, then back along via the park down to the beach.

Tramore and environs, fish and chips looking at the sea.

Annestown, Garrarus, Woodstown - any of the beaches on a quiet day.

Kennedy Park plus the big hill - Slievecoillte is it? - amazing view on a clear day.

Over on the ferry to Hook head.

I work in Slough in the UK - an absolute sh1thole. It's only the thought of these places at the weekend that keeps me going.

Lismore has had a few mentions.
A walk up to the towers is a great way to spend an afternoon.
