Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

First time I have come across this request:

How can I obtain GPS Settings / latitidude&longitude from a Google Map
that is inset within my website?

Any ideas would be gratefully welcomed!

    Cheers,

To get Lat and Lng of the center point of the map, you can use the mapname.getCenter() method.

To get the Lat and Lng of a specific point, you could have an option to insert a dragable marker and return the coordinates where ever it is dropped.

All you need to know is here:

Far easier option than the above would be this

I'm looking for pretty much the same thing, just a little pop up map on my website where somebody can click a collection location and all they have to do is click ok for the popup to close, then they do the same with the delivery address and submit the quote request and I've the two locations, would be very handy!

Unfortunately that does not do what he wants.

He wants to, it seems, get the coordinates of a specific point on a map within his own website. That requires user interaction and "manually" written Javascript.

Did this last year for a property website, I'll see what I can dig up from it.
