Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A an potato gratin is always good.
Rub the inside of the dish with a cut cloves of garlic. Then layer up thin(ish) slices of potatoes with minced garlic, salt, pepper & grated nutmeg. Then pour in cream to just below the top layer of spuds (this is important) and pop in oven for about an hour. Or until spuds are cooked. You can grate some cheese on top too for extra yumminess. Or even put some cheese in the layers :)

Does it matter if it is double or single cream? Would creme fraiche work?

    Or use half milk/half cream.
Or even all milk makes a nice, lighter version.

Yeah, that's great if you love creamy.
But for some reason, as I age I'm less attracted to really creamy and buttery things (handy, I suppose).
Don't worry, I still use butter and milk but rarely cream.
Only like ice cream if it's really creamy!!!! No Skimmed milk bollo...
