Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Racing vs Villareal will be the best game this weekend, but Sky didn't get that one... :( Villareal in free fall, Racing rejuvenated with Zigic. Should be a really interesting match if nothing else.

    ****in' Valentine's Day!

Looking forward to Espanyol Sevilla and Sporting Real but I'd say the most interesting match will be Betis Barca.

Can see Barca dropping points in this one tbh.

Very possible, Oliveira back and Betis will be on a high after the Seville Derby win, and they beat Barca 3-2 last year despite Barca having a 2-0 lead. I'm just hoping the best midfielder (Xavi), best fullback (Alves), best striker (Eto'o) and overall best player in the world (Messi) fire on all cylinders. :pac::pac:;);)

It is inevitable Barca have to drop points sooner or later, and I can see it being this evening also.

Valencia Vs Malaga has potential to be a cracker. Anytime I have seen the latter this season they have thoroughly entertained me. It can even be called a champions league qualification 6 pointer. Who would have thought that for Malaga?

Huzzah for all the Spanish footy tmr.

    2 - 0 Betis

Messi time now Pep if you didnt already know ?

Without Puyol and Marquez that defence seems very shakey

    2-0 to Betis!

Mark Gonzalez of all people has just scored a cracker.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,246 ✭✭✭Mgoraf

    Very nice from Gonzalez.

Agree redout about the defence. Alves was a bit slack for the 2nd goal too....

Just switched over, set up nicely for the next hour of play as Barca will have to go for it now (when their default is all out attack as it is!!).

Not really, having some good posession. Just poor at the back for the goals really.

    Iniesta has been excellent .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,558 ✭✭✭✭dreamers75

poor peno scored from the rebound.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,246 ✭✭✭Mgoraf

Betis defenders were a bit slow to react there.

i wouldnt call it a dive, the Betis player did nick him

but Iniesta did make the most of it

    it was a definite penalty.

I can see Barca winning 4-2

It was a deffo peno. Why has Hleb started? Bojan is a better option than him. That said, I just really do not like Hleb.

2nd half is set up nicely now. I can see Betis getting a 3rd though.

I think Hleb's a fantastic player, well he was for Arsenal anyway, i think his opportunities have been limited this season. I think he offers much more than Bojan.

I would have thought that a few months ago. If they're to get something will be a draw I reckon. Definetly another goal in it for Betis.

And the opportunities he has had, he has been poor. While Bojan has not been at the races either, at least he has scored a bit. Cracking game this. Cannot see Barca getting anything though.

Henry has went back to being sh!t tonight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,246 ✭✭✭Mgoraf

FT 2-2. Very enjoyable game that :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

All over, 2-2. Barca should have won in the second half. Wasted far too many chances though.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 21,296 ✭✭✭✭gimmick

That game just showed that Barca are human after all. It was a cracking end to end game. That fella Emano (I think his name is) for Betis is an ox. Some great goalkeeping from both, but R1cardo had a blinder.
