Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Today I was told by a contact that some of my images were being used by an Irish rascist video on You Tube . Sure eneough, 5 images bearing my name, are run across a video putting down immigrants . I am a photographer, not political, and despise my images to be used for political gain, particularly without my agreement. I have taken images of many social situations in Ireland, on an amateur basis, with no financial gain (in fact at a financial loss), I copyright my images, and then they get stolen ... my online presence is under serious review .... i will continue to photograph, and I have sent a comment to user asking for images to be removed immediatly -- seriously pissed off

If you contact YouTube directly they should be more than happy to remove the video and probably the user to.

I agree, contact YouTube. Let them know about it.

I know your concern, especially to have your images misused.

Bad enough to have your images lifted, but to have them used in a racist context would be even worse.

+1 to contacting YouTube for removal.

thanks guys, just had to have a rant somewhere - it was kind of shocking watching images you had worked hard to take , and then get compltly misinterpreted - some serious film maker needed stills for a docu he was making, and I had no problem obliging , and helping out - before release he sent me a dvd to ensure i was happy etc.

I would advise too Barry that anytime this may happen in the future to post it in this thread and we will report the particular video to YouTube and that way it will be removed quicker.
The more people that tag a video the quicker it is removed.
Was this an Irish racist video btw?

a great idea Animalrights - something that the community could engage with.

i'd suggest that perhaps it should apply to active community members only - essentially so that a post/the forum doesn't become a rent a crowd. i.e. one post wonders need not apply.

thebaz - sorry for your trouble. report to youtube absolutely.

it just shows that even with low res versions of images these days - it mightn't be suitable for print resolution but perhaps the enemy has changed it's position from paper print to screen.

the racsism is disguised under Republicanism/ Nationalism - my Grandad was educated by Padraig Pearse himself, come from a Republican family, I have met many ex - Voulunteers, photographed a few - but I can't see any of them enjoying what I watched - Me myself , I am appolitical - i believe you need to be , to photgraph what you see, in a neutral way
