That is my view on this and it is unchangable. I play violent video games, and I admit I am desensitised to violence, but I still believe Rape is the most dispicable crime, and some horrid bast4rds made a game about it.

Hm, I think equating murder to dying is like equatin rape to sex. Everyone expects to die, just as everyone expects to have sex, but no one expects to have either death or sex forced upon them.

I know it's not an objective question "is murder worse than rape?" but for what it's worth (not alot actually) I think rape is nowhere near as bad as murder.

Seriously now that's not QED. A rape victim can get over what happened, they can experience love and support and recover from the ordeal. A murder victim is gone. Nothing can ever bring them back, they can never experience anything ever again.

Do you not find it slightly ironic that the only reason you think rape is worse than murder is because you have played games that involve killing people all your life, while you haven't played games that involve raping people?

This is the point I was going to make. I've played GTA and while there is a lot of violence, the main 'point' of the game is to pretend (for want of a better word) that you're a gang member. That is, while you may partake in violent acts, they are not the sole point or focus of the game. The violence is an means to an end (being a successful gang member) if you will.

Whereas in the 'rape game', the only point of the game is to rape a woman and two children. Not only that, but you force them to have an abortion. There is no other focus to the game , other than sexually assaulting a virtual character.

I'm quite liberal and usually would say 'to each their own' , but I would be quite worried if my brother, father , boyfriend or friends were playing this sort of game, to be perfectly honest. I just don't see how it's entertainment, basically.

I'm not a gamer but in general I think most people would see a difference between a (relatively) innocent "shoot 'em up" game like most of the war ones or the James Bond efforts, and the gratuitous torture/porn games which use extreme and detailed violence as a central theme. Its pretty sick that these are marketed as entertainment (and they always fall into kid's hands despite the 18s certs), and there's no doubt in my mind that they do desensitize some users.

Ban them all I say.......except for Lee Carvallo's Putting Challenge

I would prefer to be murdered than raped. Thing is we are more familiar with killing. And in most games and movies it's the "bad guy" who you are meant to kill. Raping children is sick. It's a whole different arena than shoot-em-up games.

I don't see why it was banned. It's not real life. Most computer games let you kill hundreds of people and animals in them. I'm sure mass-murder is worse than rape. No one cares if you think it's disgusting that a game like this exists,the same way that no one cares that boring politicians with too much time on their hands give out about halo or GTA. I'm not saying I'd ever play a game like this,but different courses for different horses and all that.
