Aids hasn't had the desired effect now that biotech companies have profiteered from treatments which greatly prolong the life expectancy of their customers. It will be interesting to see what the next one will be, or how the population reduction can come into play. Some kind of flu virus would be a good candidate, unless one looks to the long picture. But then, abortion hasn't been making much of a dent.
