Advice on Film recording equipment

Hi, I'm starting to begin the process of recording some films and am looking for some advice on equipment. The films are not on a huge scale but I am definitely looking a nice look. I was looking at the Panasonic NV-MD10000 Mini DV Camcorder is this good?.
