Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Over the last week or so.. splitting into two threads as ive 7 images.. only 4 images per post..

    5-0 gapping the stairs
    3282058061_d97d42dc46.jpg

From the above picture.. he got caught up and flipped over onto his back.. not a pretty sight.. makes for a nice photo though. :P

Would be great if you could view them larger as having them small just looks terrible..

Say anything you like about them.. even if you don't know what to say.. just say what you think.. I hate seeing threads with over a 100 views and like 2 replies.. Even if you hate the pictures.. it will still help!

    Thanks!

First one is probably the best out of the set, the second one if he was airborne would be a cracking shot.

Just a quick question about the PW's, for something like this I would use the Canon system 2x580exII and 1x430ex and fire them using the line of sight system, I cant really see what the PW's do extra except for further distance (compensate with lens) and out of line of sight (flash looks like its well in range here)

I love the shadow of the skater in the background of the 3rd one.

    Class photos...

These are slightly better than the bmx pics i think.

The 2nd one is really good... just for the slightly overexposed right bit of the ledge.
Even would have been better if the whole ledge was in focus.

The 1st one is pretty good. The 3rd one is fine i think. But again you could have cropped it a little more to remove any of the unwanted distractions from the pic. Though the shadow of the skater is pretty cool.

I think the adapters I have aren't working well with the PW's.. I bought really cheap ones and im getting alot of misfires and they wont work if im maybe 10ft - 15ft away from them.. There supposed to have a 1600ft range

    @af_thefragile

Yeah the 2nd one.. I had litreally a half of a second to take the picture and it was in manual focus.. a friend said I should have shot it in landscape and I agree it probably would have looked better.. shame about the ledge being over exposed..

I cropped out the flash in the 3rd one but.. the photo like felt empty without it. I had to leave it in there haha.

    Thanks for the replies guys!

dazftw...what are the adaptoers you're talking about? I'm not too up on Canon Kit but do your flahses have a pc sync socket or are you using hotshoe adapters for that? I know all my flahshgins have the pc sync sockets and fire everytime with the right cables (although I suspect I have a dodgy cable amongst them as the odd time i need to twiddle with a cable to get everything working!!!!).

Usually any misfires I get are due to a select few number of things...
    1) PW isn't on
2)PW isn't on the right channel!
    3)Flash isn't on
4)Got a tranceiver on my cam and transmitter on a flash (most common!)
    5)Cables arent connected properly
    6)Flashes have gone to standby
7)Batteries in Flash are almost gone and have slow recyle time
8)Batteries in PW's are gone cos I never turned them off (rare as the PW's last forever on bat's but so annoying when it does happen!)

No im guessing its the hotshoe adpater.. I have 2 430EX's and they dont have a pc sync socket on them.. Ive tried all the above alot of times before.. the only thing I haven't tried yet are new adpaters.

These are the ones I have now:
