Pink Floyd without a doubt. Come on Roger and Dave, cant we all just get along? Guns N Roses could sell ice creams at it.

    The Small Faces

But they'd be so old now.

Ian Hunter's website says Mott the Hoople are doing two shows at the beginning of October. That's a reunion of a previous best band in the world they said would never happen! I love Mott, but I couldn't watch 70 year old blokes in sequins and platform boots play...........

if the dead count then Queen will surely win the title

but if we are going by only those who are still alive then I would have to say that I struggle to think of a band who haven't reunited in the last couple of years that I didn't want to see, although Megadeth circa 92 would be nice as Countdown to Extinction was a group effort and the only time Megadeth ever really felt like a band as opposed to a Mustaine solo effort.

David Ellefson, Marty Friedman, Dave Mustaine, Nick Menza is the true lineup

Like the current lads though and I think if Mustaine keeps them around they could go far

Appetite for Destruction-era Guns N' Roses were who I thought of immediately when I saw this thread so I'll have to join the many others in going for them.

    Justice?

Justice!? Ha, what the hell was I thinking! I meant Appetite, ****ing hell.

No way! Not after the disaster that was Second Coming! Brown and Squire mercy killed that band!

Dunno about a true lineup, but definitely the longest lasting.

Megadeth have pretty much been a revolving door of musicians for most of their existance. The RIP lineup lasted what, seven years? Mustaine is too much of a control freak and ends up driving members away. Once he and Ellefson drifted, it was pretty much the death of a stable existance for the band, now i love Megadeth, don't get me wrong, but lets be real here, nobody thought Ellefson would ever leave/be fired.

I just think the original lineup with Hackett on Guitar and Gabriel on vocals were really it, they made some truly classic albums, and they haven't been the same since really. Big B is going to do his nut here :pac:

He's not the only one! I'm so refraining from comment on this one as i'm avoiding a banning! I will agree that they haven't been the same since though...

... they got better and took it to the next level, something that would never have happened with Gabriel on vocals.

Yes, but Second Coming was the Roses second full studio effort (excluding compilations), and what was Guns N Roses? The Two Use Your Illusion albums.

    GNR > Stone Roses..... > YOU! :D

Jimi Hendrix Experience. Might be difficult with all three of them being dead though!

    Oi! that's rubbish

    Spaghetti has some good tunes:
    Ain't it Fun
    Down on the Farm
    New Rose
    Raw Power
    Buick Makane

All good tunes and worth the price of admission

I see what you're trying to do, but those are bad examples. New Rose and Raw Power don't even hold a candle to their Damned and Stooges counterparts. Sorry. :)

Can't blame me for trying :pac:
Ain't it Fun is fab though as is Down on the Farm

I'd bring back B*witched, simply because they were hot.

If the dead were allowed, Pantera!!! But if not I'd say Faith No More, The Real Thing/Angel Dust era (with "Big" Jim Martin), man he looked cool!

The 1987 touring line up of Whitesnake:

    Vox: David Coverdale
    Guitars: Adrian Vandenberg
    Guitars: Vivian Campbell
    Bass: Rudy Sarzo
    Drums: Tommy Aldridge.

The fact that Vandenberg is now an impressionist painter, Campbell is in Def Leppard, Sarzo is in Dio and Aldridge is in Thin Lizzy means it is unlikely to happen. Or bring John Sykes back to Whitesnake. But he is the lead singer/guitarist/legend in ''Thin Lizzy'' now.

Or possibly Accept to reunite... Udo Dirkschneider... What a hero.
