Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Where can I find a good amateur photographer?

I have a small online shop selling high quality products and images need updating from time to time. Where can I find a good amateur photographer to take some shots? Occasionally I use these images for printing on brochures so they would need to be high definition.
Can anyone advise me on where I should start?
    Thanks

Theres loads of people here who would be able to help you. But you have have to give more details about what you need shots of and also about the legal stuff like ownership of images etc ...

The products are bedlinen and so I need a close up of the detail in the design. Regarding the ownership of the images, this is all new to me. I would need to use the images on my website and occasionally in a magazine as advertisement. Does this mean I pay the photographer every time I want to use the image? Is this the norm?

It depends on what deal you strike with the photographer. As you are looking for an amateur and the product is your product, I don't think licencing will be a major issue. It's not uncommon to be licenced on a usage basis (web, brochure, display, etc..) but as it is an 'gifted' amateur I suspect that it won't be too difficult to strike a deal.

A general note to posters - As per normal forum protocol in dealing with this type of request, please PM the OP with offers relating to the work being sought. This includes recommendations as to any particular photographer. Post general queries / clarifications / advice on thread.

As Ancatdubh said,it really does depend on the photographer,Where are you based?Because that's normally the deciding factor for most people..

Possibly the General Chat section of www.photographyireland.net

Or you could try your local camera club depending on where you are based.
