Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i dont think that local chemist are unduly worried about boots because they are ready to try and take over the new chemist shop that is planned for the medicall centre

Just heard Boots is coming to Roscommon town?!?!

    Is it true?

    Where abouts?

I spend every last weekend of the month with my dad in Ros town, didn't see any sign of Boots opening?

Roscommon has so many chemists though, I don't know how they will stay open.

I'm wondering too, I only saw probably what you saw http://www.irishjobs.ie/Recruiters/Boots-Retail-Ireland-Ltd-1943.aspx

No one I know in Ros has heard of any retail positions advertised?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 412 ✭✭bijou

    Yep - that's what I saw...........
I know you can register with them and be sent details of positions coming up but not seen anything for any "other" staff advertised for Roscommon though.... Very odd.

They are supposed to be opening up in Ballina Co Mayo as well. Cannot see why there is a need for so many chemists in these small towns.

Boots opened today on Main Street where Tatlers used to be.

Won't be in Ros now till end August.
Is the Boots in Ros a big one?

Do they sell food? like the meal deals in Dublin?

    Wonder if they're doing well?!

It's not as big as the one's in Dublin, don't think it does the meal deals either, was in last week and don't remember seeing them. The location of the store is odd given that they're a few doors away from a well established pharmacy, but time will tell.
