Could have been MCOS - he was roped into pacing the 4 hour group... Amadeus was in the black and yellow pacer gear while MCOS was wearing (I presume) his own gear.

Hello All,

Started running this year. 35 yrs of age. Ended up running the marathon (my first) following a decision in August. Ran it in sub 3hrs 30 - just about. Other runs this year: Belfast between the bridges (Feb 09) 10k - 45'14"; John Davis Run (March 09), Malahide Castle 5k - 19'45" PB; Great Run (April), Pheonix Park 10k - 41'59" PB.

Went for a run last weekend and had to turn around and go home as my knees were still not right!! Try again in the morning.

Anyway, I want to get the discount codes for the photos and CD from the Marathon Foto flyer. I lost my flyer. Can someone please post them?

PS Just started reading this forum since I ran the marathon. Congrats to all who took part.

Yea was well happy with the time. I had told anyone who asked that I would be happy to get in under 3.5hrs, but secretly I wanted to get under 3hrs 15mins. My avg pace per mile up to mile 19 was 7'27", but after that my muscles to the front and back of my tighs (quads and hamstring??) on both legs just wanted to cramp up into a ball. So I had to shorten my stride by about half which reduced my pace. So the last 7.2 were run at 9'22" / mile. But was determined to run every step, which I did, wrightly or wrongly I don't know. Maybe I should read a bit before I attemp my next one:D:eek:
