Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If ya get a chance try get down to Lansdowne road stadium while the construction is going on; it's more interesting looking now than it will be when it's finished (well I think so anyway ;) )

Don't you mean the Aviva stadium??? :D

    Some really nice shots there.

    Nice interesting sky.
    #1 for me.
    Also love the blue skies.
Can't say the same about todays skies...means the pub and no photography.

The blue sky is really lovely (although I doubt if the sky was really that blue in February :D). I live quite close to the stadium (as do a couple of others here) and it really is an amazing sight to behold, especially close up. It's definitely going to dominate the skyline around the area when it's finished. There are some places (e.g. Ringsend Bridge) where you'll almost be able to see into the stadium, it should make for quite a sight on match nights

    Great pictures.

It's looking very similar to the Emirates stadium which is a good thing IMHO.

The office I work in overlooks the stadium, we can't see into it though

They seem to be constructing the roof skeleton inside the stadium at the moment; it'd be savage to be allowed inside during construction to take some pictures.

p.s. that was a real blue sky! I'll be able to look at that pic in June and remember the 17th of Feb as the day we had our summer in '09

    I agree

I dusted off my bike and went for a cycle on Sunday morning to take photos of the site.

Ringsend bridge, then Vavasour & Havelock Squares.

I plan to do more of it as the months progress and the iron work goes on. I didn't think to take any from Lansdowne Road - next time ;).

Actually very good thinking, could end up to be some sought after pics in a few years.

I actually started doing this while the old stadium was coming down, but it didn't last. Here's a great set on FLickr (not by me)

There a really good set, with I had of thought about that, I wish I had some pictures of Croke Park being pulled down and the building process, these pics are worth a lot of money these days, especially with the 125th anniversary and all that, however it not all about the money, I would love to just have the pics of Croke Park itself.

Anyway good work OP some lovely pics you got there but as others said, there would be some great pics if somebody could get on site with a camera

If you had a Safepass card
If you had your own PPE gear
If it were a Sunday and there were no workers on site (are they working 7 days?)

    If if if
