    1 - Stranorlar/Ballybofey
    2 - Rosapenna

    ???

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,103 ✭✭✭North_West_Art

First one is correct... its the first tee at Stranorlar/Ballybofey

number 2 is not Rosapena.... one of the courses tee off areas is positioned ontop of the large mound (which has been the subject of much interest some years ago)

The Deer Hunter has it... Moyne Hill at Murvagh golf links. A passage to a megalithic storage chamber was discovered in the hill 15 odd years ago, but it was kept quiet by the club and covered over again. If you stand at the main entrance to Murvagh beach and look to your left, you can see that there is another very similar mound over at the other end of the beach towards Inishfad...... got any venison for sale by the way?

Yes, do you know there it is?

  • Registered Users Posts: 46,100 ✭✭✭✭muffler

Yes, do you know there it is?
It would be directly facing you almost (uphill obviously) as you come over the bridge from the Dungloe direction.

If its the lake Im thinking about I think its called the dergmore?? or something like that. I know I spent 3 weeks surveying around it a long number of years ago for a proposed water scheme at the time.

Might not be the right one though.

Sorry Muffler, not correct. I did cross the Gwebarra bridge and went onto the Glenties side and as the crow flies its only a few mile to this place. And thats all I'm saying for now.
