Having looked at this photo again, I could see the bridge in the distance and looking at the OSI map, it seems to be a place near Mass, on the road to Portnoo?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,354 ✭✭✭henke

I think its the road between Maas and Leitir, in the townland of Kilkenny.

  • Registered Users Posts: 692 ✭✭✭Durnish

That's right, the ruins of the old church at Kilkenny, banks of the Gweebarra.

There may be a short delay. I moved all my summer photos off my cards and onto the laptop and now... it's blown up.
Me, the person who preached against keeping photos on the laptop, caught out. At least it's only this year's photos.

Slightly off topic Durnish but I notice your photo is dated 2006... and that old Blue VW Transporter van looks in great nick!! Its almost a classic:D

    Great photo btw

  • Registered Users Posts: 692 ✭✭✭Durnish

the blue VW van versus VW Golf, the famous Loughros Volkswagen face-off, the van won, of course.

Is that Muckish from the Falcarragh side? Great HDR touch. Do you use Photomatix?

That van must be in the Point this last 20 years and I think it is still on the go today.

ha, VWs, the cars/vans that keep on giving. We have a VW wagon that is not quite twenty years old, but it's still going strong, apart from leaking a bit in the winter.
