Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    'Allo, allo, allo.

I was just wondering if i could ask you guys a (no doubt stupid) question. What's the point in setting up your Xbox to recognise Windows Media Center?

I've heard people mentioning doing it on t'intranet, but amidst all the guides on how to set it up, i can't seem to find anywhere that actually tells me, straightforward, why i'd set it up.

    Can anyone inform me?

It allows you to play music and videos that are stored on your PC through your xbox (ie on your tv)

Pretty pointless to be honest. Tversity does a way better job of streaming files to your 360 (and it's free too!) Media Centre is very limited in what it can do as far as i'm aware

I have a 42" LCD that i use as a tv, but its also set up as a second monitor for my PC (ie; i drag videos over and full-screen them on the TV, rather than watch them on the PC)

Does that make the 360/media center combo completely pointless for me?

Kinda! the only thing you'd need the link with your pc to 360 for then would be for having music on your console for when you're gaming possibly, but you could just use a memory stick or something instead

Well my PC is wired up to a decent surround system, and i only ever really listen to music when im browsing the net, so i don't think i'd bother setting it up.

Thanks for all the replies guys, i appreciate it :)
