Vodafone blank SIMs - all the same?

With Meteor if you need a SIM replacement you can use any blank SIM. With O2 when you need a SIM replacement there are particular ones for bill and particular ones for prepay. On Vodafone which is it? Is it one SIM fits all or are there special bill ones and prepay ones? n.b. not talking about 2g / 3g SIMs here.
