    Having been to a few of these places,you have to wonder how much of this has to do with our weather here in ireland.It makes a lot of places look dull and depressing.I notice they look alot better when the sun is shining and your enjoying a pint.

    Maybe a few require a case of beer.

    Ah Charlestowns grand... Ballaghaderreen if you include it, is pretty bad and Castlebar is a bit of a tip (nothing compared to Ballina however).

    This isnt a peer-reviewed scientific journal you know... I dont have to produce "evidence" that Castlebar is a bit of a tip, Im just stating that in my opinion thats the case. You are free to argue otherwise and I wont demand "evidence".

    Maynooth is not a sh1thole. How could anyone think that with Kilcock just down the road?
    Athlone's not the worst either, or Bray - good towns for a few pints.

    If you think these places are such s**tholes then why dont you do something about it??? Start a program that will get the kids a proper education and keep drugs out of these area's. I bet most of the people criticsing these towns have never helped out in a charity at all or did anything for the homeless, quite frankly that makes you scum aswell.
