    i was just watching the horizon documentary about the Moscow theater siege. if this had happen in somewhere like like London instead of Moscow how would it have ended

    800 - 950 hostages.
    42 heavily armed terrorists.
    129 dead civilians

    my gut says that 129 dead would be a best case scenario and it seems very unlikely that any western government would use the same tactics.

    I would think alot more dead Hostage rescuer's.

    It would probably be CO19 and the SAS sent in, (given the number of hostage takers, you would need taht many shooters), and there would be a fairly large gun battle, lots of civvie's would perish.

    There is no real way to strategically take out 42 heavily armed opponants without alot of civilians dying.
