There was an original, but non-Evo for sale in the Merc museum last April for........49k....?....so, they do go for la-la money over there.

Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

LT reg, They don't have a car testing service over in Lithuania as far as I know so god knows what could be lurking underneath that yoke that needs repairs. Nice car though, but would not touch a car like that it in a million years without an NCT on it. He is quite an arrogant bugger too, hate to buy a car of someone like that.

AFAIK they do have a car testing service and is very strict. In fairness NCT in Ireland is very soft to compare with TUV in Germany or car testing in Lithuania however only seller and GOD knows how long this car is here and when the last service was done. Maybe back in 2004.
There is another one. http://www.gumtree.ie/dublin/90/54549490.html Romanian seller trying to sell BMW on UK plates. He claims that car is his on his name but wasn't able to provide logbook. This can be classified as a dreamer as only dreamer can dream to sell the car without legal paperwork for €1650. This car is not legal on the Irish roads.

Seen so many Lithuania rot box's over the years here being driven around, it's hard to believe they have a car testing service over there.

That Romanian guy probably would not have a hope in hell in flogging that thing...

Well. it's a Cosworth RS with a decent engine, so pricing wouldn't be way way off.

Issue is just, that very few people would go for that sort of car.

Im not so sure about that. The first search I did came up with this and I wasnt even trying. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1337556.htm

1337556-2t.jpg

There isnt a Granada in the world worth 10 grand.

Well. I wouldn't pay 10k, even for a Granada Cosworth. The one you linked to is a Scorpio. Not entirely comparable.

The top of the range Granada had the 2.9 engine fettled by Cosworth, a mate of mines father at school had one in 1991. The RS Bodykit may be rare but simply doesn't add that much value to it, I didn't think there was any other input from the RS division although I'm happy to be corrected, in fact it looks worse IMO..I give you the same engine (and car, essentially) for £450!

I'm not sure if this GT40 is right, seen it here on ebay. It's a 1.6 and he wants £10k for it.
