^^^^ and how many alternators would you need to fuel the spots?

The 8th pic with the red arch/wing is confusing the life out of me! There doesn't seem to be red anywhere else on the car!

The high rise kit, wheels/tyres are prob worth something, but no way in hell is it worth 6k!

Its a Different car...look at the dirt on the tyre and then look at the side view...one is manky the other spotless...

Think i will offer him 1k and see what he says.

If you read the ad it says "€6000 with wheels, €4800 with 5 new pirelli scorpions". The pirelli scorpions are obviously fitted to a different vehicle.

    " massive power goes anywhere , "

You'd like to think it goes to the wheels.:)

"ideal for farm work or just having the crack"

Can also be used to transport drugs.

That is a sweet little motor. Good to see (from the pics) that it's been left standard.

If the price drops to what it should be (i.e. less than 2K), I might be interested :D

That must've been hanging around a while before being registered...weren't they the early 90s shape? Something not quite right with that imo...

Am I missing something here? I'd be shocked if he looked for 500, never mind 5000

Just because a vehicle is old doesn't mean it needs to be given away.

Some have a cult following and good, original examples that have been well looked after do fetch quite high prices.

I would guess that this Charade is such an example ...for the right buyer.

'86 Austin Montego, with 130,000 miles can be yours for €5,000!

I will admit I do have a guilty liking for these cars, but I wouldn't pay any more than €1,000 for one, unless it was an MG Montego Turbo.

The diesel ones (Perkins engine) was incredibly reliable though, it has to be said.

Engine wise the petrol were fine too (well no worse than anything else of the era), as said though, would fetch a few hundred at most, what sort of dizzy numpty reckons someone will throw €5000 at him for it. One owner from new raises an eyebrow too unless the chap moved here from England some time ago.
