That's just awful, an E38 728i ONLY produced 190 hp... JAP CRAP 90s engines.

Yeah you're missing the point entirely.

To be fair VW were producing 1.9 diesels capable of that output in the 90s.

    TDi I'm guessing.

130bhp TDi were well within them limits with a simple remap.

PD? Thought they were 2000's... Open to corrections though

Technically the 115bhp pd is a 90's engine as I think it was an option on the 1999 Passat. The 130 didn't come along till 01 though.

Either way both Quazzie's and Fubo's points are pretty strange.

A v6 Camry was built to be a comfy cruiser with a mix of reliability, adequate power and frugality in countries that don't tax the bejesus outta cars over 2000cc if a man wanted just power he could have just bought a 2jzgte supra or aristo.

I think a lot of people missed the point.

Slow, massive tax, ugly, jap higher insurance and only a fücking Auris.

Utterly valueless, fit only for a crusher.

Very clean w202 automatic c200 estate
Test till 2019 and tax till January 18
Great car that'd be serious bangernomics if priced around the €1k mark

However its owner a small time trader who happens to be also selling a 2007 e320cdi in the vintage section  feels this humble little merc is worth €2950

Insane! Would be a great weekend load-lugger if you could get it at realistic money.

I do not like that car one bit. Some paint job.

When I thought it was a 318is I thought it was cool because it looked well finished but it's definitely not ok to do that to an M3.

Would a non ruined E36 M3 be worth that money?

    That's what I was wondering, there's a well kept E36 M3 in white for 10k..

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/bmw-m3/17198039

    Not convertible though..

    And a convertible E46 M3 for 10.5k

    https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/bmw-e46-m3/17041748
I've no idea what a non molested convertible E36 M3 would go for if I'm honest...

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,133 ✭✭✭James Bond Junior

An unmolested 328i would make 4k in UK. An m3 would be around 10k sterling handy enough

M3 cabrios tend to go for a bit less than their tin top brethren.
Savage scuttle shake means you can't see a thing in the rear view mirror, I'm told.

Is it me or is this ridiculously overpriced?

    https://www.donedeal.ie/view/17551209

€4250 for an 06 GTI that literally looks like it’s been rallied through a field!

I have seen clean undamaged examples going for 3-4k

I realise this is a dealer but it is being “Sold as Seen”

There’s a bit of a scuttle shake but bmw verts are actually pretty good. Saab are terrible by comparison.

Looked at a e36 vert when I was buying and couldn't really give out about the shake. Had a 9-3 of the same vintage for a few days and it made the rearview mirror useless it shook so much.

Love the colour on the X6 all the same.

Only person I ever knew who had one had it on commercial tax and rear seats. He had to DOE it every year.

Only if its on the book as a 2 seater commercial, all crewcabs have 5 seats so as long as the 2 rear most seats have been removed it's sound.

Both crewcabs and 2 seater commercials qualify for €333 tax.

The regs have since changed and it's no longer possible do this as the measurements for the load space are taken via laser now so no more massaging of dimensions ;)

At its last mot in 2016 it passed with slightly corroded brake pipes all round and corroded sills both sides.
