3k for an auto 1.6 Integra. I don't know what this guy is smoking before he put up the ad.
Must be good weed alright. Especially when a R version of the model was up for 4k and didn't sell for nearly a year. If he gets 800 quid for that he'd be blessed.

Corroded sills? Not long for this world as you can be sure on them the rot goes deep.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

€4250 for an 06 GTI that literally looks like it’s been rallied through a field!

I have seen clean undamaged examples going for 3-4k

I realise this is a dealer but it is being “Sold as Seen”

He'd be lucky to get 2k for that, and that would be a great return!
I had awful trouble trying to get rid of my 05 and it was way better condition than that.
Then take into account it has no dual climate control, no DSG, no nav....
At that price it'll be scrapped long before it's bought

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,155 ✭✭✭StereoSound

You can buy these in good condition for next to nothing. Who would pay €750 for that and spend three times that again on repairs.

Somebody a 1.6 might want the leather interior, aircon and dual exhaust system?

Still saleproof even if it was undamaged.

Unrelated, but wasn’t that garage trading under a different name until quite recently?

Nope they are around with good few years I bought my ST from them 3 years ago. Were good to deal with no issues.

10 year old Evo X FQ-300.... Pushing 90,000 miles. Yours for just €22,000! (This is a price drop btw!!!)

Love the line: Pics dont do the car justice... That's probably because the pictures are dreadful and so is the Ad

Nice car and all, I'm back in the market for an Evo X but this is about €7,000 overpriced.

You could get a similar car in from the UK, VRT paid and all for €15,000.

Perhaps someone can help me out here?

I don't know if this deserves to be here, but the claim of 240bhp from a 1.2 with just a filter/exhaust/intercooler/remap has me scratching my head. Is it actually possible that the power claim could be legit? Surely not?

The 1.2 didn't come with a turbo, so I can only assume it's had the mechanicals from the 2015 ST transplanted too, which would have been 180bhp standard.

I would find it hard to believe that someone would do effectively a reshell and still get it serviced in a Ford dealer.

Remarkably, the tax band doesn't change on a post 08 car if you change the engine for a completely different one. It's a little known advantage of the new system.

I'd say it got a full subframe/engine swap from a cat B Fiesta ST.

I wonder is it still a 1.2 "on da book"

But surely declaring that it has a different engine would result in the tax being paid based on the co2 of the donor engine?

  • Registered Users Posts: 260 ✭✭E36Ross

    It's originally a 1.2 and has been just VRT as a 1.2

So someone put a 1.2 shell beside an ST and swapped EVERYTHING over including wiring looms for heated seats, clocks, interior, ECU door locks/keys etc... Brakes and everything else mechanical........

Isn't the key word from the ad - REPLICA?

I.e. it's still a 1.2 litre car made to look like the 240 BHP version. as in Fur coat no Knickers.

Nope... It is a 240bhp ST.

Well no. The Co2 isn't calculated on the engine itself, but on the particular specs of the car from the factory. Any deviation from standard engine should put the car on €2350 tax rate really.

I think it's reasonable price, any examples of an FQ300 SST cleared for €15K ?

Co2 isn't just determined by the engine. The car plays a major part as well so having that engine fitted to another car will yield a different co2 output.
