The BM should hold it's value better than the Porsche though....if ye don't drive it. But sure what's the point in that. I'd love a CSL though. Such a cool car.

Wouldn't bet on it, CSL values dropped in the last 12 months whereas even 996 Turbos have appreciated.

9 owners, no test, 170k kms and €1k tax asking 5k.

In fairness it looks clean and very unassuming. You'd never think from the outside that it has 260bhp. He'll be waiting a while for it to shift though.

Cool car... I'd say it has had a hard life (9 owners) or else just tax avoidance

Theres a 08 Focus RS with higher tax for 7700 with 5 previous owners. Isnt the MPS pretty much the same car?

I would hazard a guess that car has only really had 5 owners, the rest was tax avoidance. That's an owner a year since new which is doubtful. Or else it is a shed.

That looks very very familiar to me, there was one down near us for work and it was an absolute dog from what I remember, same colour body and wheels!

They share some similarities (Same was a Mazda 6 is similar to a Mondeo. Mazda use cheap secondary components), you'd pay way more for an RS though because "It's an RS"

Would I have one of them???
Honestly if it were any Mazda it's be the 4WD Mazda 6 MPS.

However having owned a Mazda 6 2.0D for 3 years now, I can tell you I'll never buy another Mazda again. Troublesome cars

Theres definitely not an 08 Focus RS because there was no Mk2 Focus RS until 2009 and you certainly won't get one for 7700. They're also totally different cars.

I suppose performance-wise pre remap the MPS is comparable to the ST. Post remap it's comparable to the RS.

I assumed the zero on the price was a typo

2000 euro in 1997 is roughly 3000 euro in 2018 adjusted for inflation (47.8%).

Were these Astras even 3k new?

    Misprint?

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,941 ✭✭✭selectamatic

I'd have guessed classic case of extra zero in the price but it's up 3 days nearly 4...

Edit: colm beat me to it

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,454 ✭✭✭mloc123

Must be a typo? I don't see any mention of it being a crazy rare model

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,119 ✭✭✭Gravelly

There'll be some lad on any minute to tell you it's worth that and more, especially in that colour :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,231 ✭✭✭Iseedeadpixels

It's worth that and more.....especially in that colour

Mustn't be a misprint if it's been lowered to 59k

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,660 ✭✭✭Muppet Man

    Thats just mad stuff...

And in the "Similar Adverts" just underneath his advert, there are two other similar White MR2 MK1s for 2000 and 2750. Granted, he's probably got more work done to his one... but not 57k worth

Aye. 60K for an 80,000 miler that has a respray in a "custom colour", when vintage nerds want as original as possible? Eh no. If it had 800 miles and was in brand new concours condition I could see 20 odd K might be in play for a small set of buyers, but not three times that.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
