And in the "Similar Adverts" just underneath his advert, there are two other similar White MR2 MK1s for 2000 and 2750. Granted, he's probably got more work done to his one... but not 57k worth

    It's £5,900 now.

€7500 would be enough for it.

One with say 70-80k would be worth around €7k - €7500. The low mileage doesn’t add €3000 to the value

The NCT disc is my favourite part. Why does it say BMW 3█6 with what looks like a little 1 scribbled over it. Hardly a typo from the NCT office, but hey at least it managed to pass its NCT 6 years ago

First non coupe 06 I've seen anyway.

Did see a bunch of travellers the other day in a 2001 facelift e46 though...I'd be willing to bet that the plates are fake. Was a wreck of a yoke and didn't strke me as a conversion.

I've checked the expiry date of a few of the dealers over priced cars including an 07 Skoda Octavia with 125 miles no NCT since 2013 for 6k euro and an 05 Golf 200k miles for 4k euro with no NCT since 2015.

    How is he selling cars?

I'd guess he's not selling them at those prices. Both those cars are worth a third to a quarter of those prices.

Shock horror, not actually 1 owner.

Hits all the overpriced car keyphrases:

    testing the waters
    value increasing
    not pushed to sell
    best in Ireland
    as good as they come

Tops it off with will consider if correct offer comes my way - presumably the offer would have to made in writing on calfskin parchment delivered by a liveried butler.

I wouldn't pay that for it but they must be starting to appreciate a bit? That's the best colour IMO and that one does look good. Would it be worth €3k?

I've such a soft spot for those 106s, they seem pretty rare these days. That's at least 3k too much for it

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,812 ✭✭✭✭bear1

    That drivers seat looks manky

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,341 ✭✭✭mullingar

Worth 3k if clean to a keen buyer.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,424 ✭✭✭Ciano35

Jaysus I have one myself and wouldn’t think it’s worth more than 3k. Mad money.

"I’m testing the water here, values are increasing and not pushed to sell but will consider if correct offer comes my way"

I must admit, this caused me to spit out my tea with laughter.

Dreamer of the year has to be the garage in Galway that has a 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo up for 130k wtf 14 year old Lamborghini lol

Quick glance you could bring in a 2010 for roughly the same price inc vrt

If it were a 106 Rallye in the same condition there'd be more interest and the one to buy for future value as that's the one to have. The GTi was a nice car, but not as sought after IMH. Certainly not at that price, though that looks like a very clean example.

*Aside* if someone is looking top dollar for a car I'd be expecting shots of the engine bay, boot floor and underside. The bits you can't see are usually the bits that show the real condition.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I had a facelift 01 330D a while back... Was registered in September of that year I think
