These are high performance vehicles so of course the tax is going to be on the high side.

If someone has the money to buy then tax isn't as big an issue but of course nobody likes paying it.

Jan 08 so it's the same when compared like to like :p

Ahem, a Jan 08 would only have been on the old tax for 6 months :)

Yes thank god, I've paid big tax before and never again (unless my numbers come up) - few cars are worth it.

Wha... ? Could you have the tax brand reassessed to the lower band on new cars in 2008 if the Co2 rate was lower ?

Yeah but I believe it was a once off offer during that time.

Yeah its lovely and all but €8500 & no offers?

It's definitely a nice example, but he's asking very strong money for it alright.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,917 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

Yeah it's nice but I don't think they are there yet, pricewise. You'd get into an AE86 booter with that kind of money, which most Corolla enthusiasts would prefer. €4-5k would be sensible for it.

At least they are normal photos and not Facebook screenshots of pictures or Snapchat filters :)

    In a field....

20v's are hard to find and that's a cracking looking car. You'd be looking at 7-8k to import one

Accord coupes are rare but he won't get that for it....IMO I think he is a dreamer.

They're just seriously uncool and always were. It's like the two door Camry, just why?

    €2,400 unless it's a complete piece of 5hit it's worth that.

Its worth about a grand imo and at that itd be a hard sale.

Its unusual yes and I'm sure its comfy but its really got feck all else going for it. Insuring it would be a pain too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,917 ✭✭✭✭Toyotafanboi

I've never seen one before. I think it's really cool.

If there was a 2001 4 door Accord on donedeal with a new clutch, timing belt kit, pads, tyres and an oil service for say €1500 it'd be in the bangernomics thread with about 50 thanks under it.

I'd say he'll see the guts of €2k for it. It looks very tidy and has acceptable tax.

Not a hope in hell. It's worth hundreds not thousands.

Immaculate 2001 accords are worth about €500 if even in the current climate.

There's countless 2003 and up gen7 accords for sale for sub €1k

Well is definitely worth more than one of those because it is rare and a bit cool looking, so we must be over a grand :)
