A friend of mine has a Sierra and I kept thinking the lights and grill were off a Granada! Evidentally not

This, my dear, is a Ford Granada:

    This is a Ford Sierra:

The grille on the Sierra has been changed quite a bit over the years. That bodged pickup has the front of the last facelift of them, if I recall correctly.

That would actually have been a Ford Scorpio on the continent, so I would never have referred to it as Granada.

No, you get me wrong. It was continental Europe, where it's called Scorpio. It seems they only kept the Granada name on for the RHD ones.

No problem, I still think it may be the last generation of Granada, pre facelift as the other model shows.

AFAIK they were badged Granada and Scorpio in 1994 before the arrival of the SCORPIO itself in Ireland on the bug eyed car

Ford Granada Scorpio. AFAIK the Scorpio (proper) was the follow on from the Mk3 granada.

Anyhow, that Ford Sierra Pickup is a last gen Ford Sierra bodgejob and pointless, because the Ford P100 (based on the Ford Sierra) actually was available.

    Insane price he's looking for.
you could nearly buy an m3 for that.

Indeed as you point out even if it was a Sierra/Granada it is completely pointless as there was a proper one available.

Was the real one based on an Aussie UTE or was it for Europe only?

Don't think it was for Oz at all. They have their complete own range of models. Would have been too small for them, both engine and size wise :)

Actually checked, the Ford P100's were build in South Africa and Portugal and based initially on the Cortina/Taunus, then on the Ford Sierra, so not for the Oz market.

Here's a picture of the proper job.

Yep. You can, but it's a different animal. The 335i is twin-turbo engined, so higher gains on remaps, but also the risk of higher wear and tear.

Now, I still wouldn't spend that money on it. So good luck to the seller.

the 335i may be a twin turbo but mention an ess supercharger on an m3 and you can forget all about it.

Well, it looks suspiciously like someone has taken an angle grinder to a Corsa, cut most of the rear off and then set about it with a welding torch. Badly.
To savour the full extend of the insanity, read the description.
What strikes me is "1l on book but fitted with a 1.4OHC", looks like someone found an ingenious way of having a 1.4 for the price of a 1l, genius and the perfect crime. He thinks.
So it's got body kit, alloys, sound system, tints, heated seats, and (!!!!!!!!!!!) A NEW DISTRIBITOR CAP!! Wow, where do I sign?!!
AND it's primed! I'll take two!

And one more thing to anyone selling a car:
    As soon as I read:
    "open to SERSIOUS (sic) offers
    no time wasters please"
I think "yeah, screw you buddy, IF I ever wanted to buy your overpriced shed, (and they always are with stuff like that written in the ad) I certainly don't want to now.
If they give you attitude before you even get to see them or even speak on the phone, things won't improve.
    And just what is "sersious"?:D
If you open the famous textbook under "how to generate not only zero interest and give anyone who knows the first thing about cars a good laugh, but also piss off and anger any potential customer right from the start", you will find this ad.

€3k+ north of where it should be I reckon.

Now, should it have RS4 badges, it may be worth the asking price. !!
