Hi all, just received a new Netopia, with wireless, (had a 4 years old wired box). I used to have a Linksys WRT54g with DD-WRT installed.
Anyone know if DD-WRT or Tomato will work on a NETopia 2247NWG?
    ( I know DD-WRT was mainly Buffalo/Linksys.) Tomato's FAQ isn;t very useful here.

    Cheers

There is a possibility that the Netopia 3347NWG will be supported by Openwrt in the future. However since it does not run Linux by default it will take some work. It hasn't come up in a while on the developers forum however so its unlikely in the near future.

The Netopia 2247NWG is not listed so I'm not sure about it.

    doubtful.

your best bet is to just use a regular dsl modem in bridging mode and keep using the wrt54g.

i've been using them for 4+ years now with various 3rd party firmwares and can't see a situation (other than every wifi device i have becoming 802.11n compliant overnight and for free:)) where i'd want to change to anything else, they're just too good. :)
