Is it true that a mixed breed pup will have less health problems than a pure pedigree one? I am currently thinking off getting a bischon x shih-tzu I already have and have had shih-tzus.Any advice appreciated.:)

No, it depends on the history of both dogs. If there is inbreeding the lineage of both dogs, then there is every chance that the offspring will suffer from health problems. Also if you have two breeds that have characteristic health problems (ie pugs and cavaliers) you could end up with a dog that has the worst of both.

No, you are mosy likely to get double the health problems, the health problems from each breed that is crossed.

Please dont actively look for a cross breed/designer dog from a so called breeder and pay money for one. There are loads of cross breeds in the pounds for free if thats what you want, and you dont need to pay money and fund puppy farmers by doing so.
