If someone kicked Ronaldo like that he would rolling around for an hour and Utd fans would screaming for a red card, but when Ronaldo does it............

Sorry but this had to be quoted

What? You expect us to scream for our own player to be sent off? Come off it.

unbelievable, someday a ref will make a decision against ronaldo at old trafford.
should be sent off after 56, scores after 58.Oh the united way.

This isn't bitterness it just ruins the game for every other team,

Johnny Evans didnt impress me at all today. Disallowed goal and that was it. Very worried with him playing against Inter.

Didn't think he played particularly badly tbh, i thought we struggled with RSC presence in the box generally..I'd be more worried about him letting the occasion get to him on the night..

Shout for a penalty, not a chance in OT

yep thats a penalty in every other ground except Old Trafford. Typical bull ****

I think without Vidic that Inter are a dead cert to score at the San Siro. Thats my biggest worry. Still think we will win the tie though. Evans doesnt sit well with me as he does with most other United supporters.

ffs Web, if its not a pen its a card.

    I hate that ref.

If it was a pen, red for Rafa, big trouble.

If that wasnt a pen, then where was the card for a dive?

Jeez, the ref is having a shocker. ronaldo shouldn't have been on the pitch to score the goal, berbatov should be gone too for two tackles with studs into defenders thigh and that was a stonewall penalty.

Hands on the shoulder but player dropped like a lead weight...not a peno but could easily of been given...

Lol, Fergie and Big Sam having a bit of a tiff on the sidelines!

Why not? Many fans criticise their own players, and tbh I think its quite clear Ronaldo wants to be somewhere else.

Both managers laughing at the ref......says it all really

Blatent Peno not given, Ronaldo defo should be off and Evans should have had a goal crazy stuff

Yeah your dead on, Berbatov is a disgrace, a flithy player. He does this all the time, goes out with the intention of hurting players.

That pen is debateable at best, where was the contact ffs?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,492 ✭✭✭MementoMori

Evans was taken off because Fergie recognised he had made a mistake leaving Vidic out

k4t - the quote was because you said Evans needed 90 mins to play in the San Siro whereas he went off at 60 - just found it amusing

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,692 ✭✭✭Loomis

I'm officially giving up on the fantasy football. There is no point.
Everytime I bring in players who are doing well something happens that ****s it over. And the players I take out do well.

I sold Ronaldo which helped me improve my overall team by buyinh in Vidic and Lescott and replaced Ronaldo with Lampard.
Ronaldo scores and Vidic gets rested. Grrrrrrrrr

    PS. Come on United!! :D

Ah come off it. You have to be allowed to compete and go in hard for tackles. The game is becoming a joke thanks to people like you. If I had a cent for every time I've been hit by studs......! Berba's tackles are not dangerous, just sore! Grow up!

You could be right, but Id like to hear Fergie's post match comments on that. It could easily of been a strain and he didn't want to risk him

LOL if that was Ronaldo's shoulder that was pulled back he'd still be rolling around and UTD fans would be screaming for a peno. I'm all for loyal fans but blindly watching a game is just ignorant!

I didn't say he was a disgrace or a filthy player or he was intending to hurt anyone. He had had too studs up tackles well above knee height into defenders thighs, both should have been yellows, not just one.

as for where was the contact, are you blind? Rafael stupidly put both hands on the shoulder of Peterson and pulled him back, he went down. Pulling someone back is a foul. Peno.

60 mins is fine alright. He definitely needed the hour though. He should be grand for tuesday night and if not we've still got that wonder boy Sheasy.

would berbatov have to do it all the time to get sent off? stupid quote, each tackle should be treated on the tackle not repitation.

for peno he pulled him on shoulder, not that much but did pull him back. defo peno.

i think the fact red nose blasted the ref to his face at half time has ment the ref is scared of doing something contraversial now.. typical!

    Im not ignorant.

Why do you start every post with "If Ronaldo... blah blah blah" get over it. Ronaldo dived and got punished. I agreed with you on Ronaldo not being on the pitch. What more do you want? I didnt think it was a pen, so do many others. Youve clearly got some passionate hate for Man United so ill let you deal with that in your own way, im drying to discuss a game here.

No they're not. They are attempts at the ball where somebody gets hurt. Not necessarily a foul tbf. Some of these pros nowadays wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes on a pitch with Souness and the likes. Just fancy boys. As I said, grow up. Football is a contact sport. I'll leave it at that.

you're wrong. going in studs up IS a foul.

I'm all for hard fair challenges, but studs up is a foul and I defy you to find anything anywhere that says otherwise.

'Twud be no problem. Gaz Neville is an accomplished central defender. He would could have been the best central defender in England if a few inches taller. And Rafael could play on the right.

LOL if you read my posts over the past years you would know I certainly have no hate for Man Utd, I was the first to start a thread to congartulate Ferguson on his 1000th game and I often Praise Utd on here.

The reason I started the posts with "If Ronaldo" is because many Utd fans on here always scream that he didn't get this or get that, I would bet my house that if any Utd player was pulled back like Pedersen was in the box they would be screaming for a peno.

I just hate the way some fans watch a game with such a one sided mind, its just silly, whats wrong with calling decisions the same way for both sides? Its not going to change anything only make people respect you for been a decent fan who can see their side got decisions to go their way.

I have a bad feeling B'Burn could nick an equaliser. And we'll have no time to respond.

Tevez needs to run his socks off.

First line of defence is attack.

i think refs now adays wouldnt last either!! the players now know they can 'work' the refs that is why they go down easy.

i think if refs stoped giving the easy frees players would play on.

awful call from Web on Santa Cruz there, makes it 10times harder for Blackburn when everything since the wrongly ruled out goal has gone Utds way
