Does anyone know where some puppy classes might be around Waterford?

Puppy classes? You hoping your pup will grow up to become a fine scholar one day?

Hi... Frances Ryan gives dog training 087-6912816.
We're going to classes at the moment and she's very good! I think she has a website luxdal.com ?

Unfortunately, I get the feeling that she doesn't want to take on my puppy. Lots of you can look for another trainer, there's a waiting list, its outside and so not for people who want to train outside.

To me those are signs....disappointed because I had hoped based upon your recommendation. Glad its working for you though.

Check with your vet. Lots of clinics run puppy parties where your dog can be socialised and you also learn basic commands etc.

Could somebody please give me a guide price for these classes? None of the sites I found had any prices. I always hate ringing in case the price is really high and I have to back out.

    Thanks.

Well I have gotten 140 for small group classes for 8 weeks (1 hour per week).

I live in Cork and the going rate seems to be €15 - €20 per hour for group classes. I've heard it's around €50 per hour for home visits. The puppy parties I mentioned are free.

That's great, I live in Waterford though. Once a week in petrol would kind of defeat the purpose and the car rides aren't the best for him.

I was only trying to be helpful by giving you a price comparison, sorry I bothered!

Wow, calm down, there's nothing in my post that says I wasn't appreciative of the info, just stated the obvious, Cork is too far!

I would say just obedience, we're getting to the point of getting sit down. But I'd really like to see if I can get some formal training with him. He's an Alaskan Malamute. He's really good around other dogs in the fact that he's not jumpy or growling unless they come into our back garden "his territory".
